The Bishop’s Wife

By Rose Ross Zediker — December 23, 2015

The Bishop’s Wife is my favorite Christmas movie. I like all of the actor’s in the movie, Cary Grant, David Niven and Loretta Young.

Although I enjoyed the remake of this movie, The Preacher’s Wife, I believe the original version far outshines the remake.

I haven't seen that one in ages. And I often find that original versions of movies are way better then their modern counterparts. Sometimes Hollywood should leave well enough alone. Merry Christmas, Rose.

I agree, Kav. I think it's because they think they have to change the original 'message' in the movie to fit modern times which isn't always true. Merry Christmas!

Anything with Cary Grant is always wonderful, isn't it? And you're right, remakes are rarely better or as good as the original.

Brenda, I feel the same way about Cary Grant. I like all of his movies, but especially enjoy the comedies.
