Lewis encourages Charlotte’s work, especially her crusade to introduce fresh, appetizing, nutritious
food to those convalescing in hospitals. But young Dr. Joel Brooks is not convinced any changes
should be made–especially by this outspoken young woman.

When Charlotte and Joel are coerced into planning a fund-raising gala for the hospital, with this

What Lorna’s readers say:

“Hannah Gregory is my kind of gal: smart, feisty, loyal, and resilient. When Love Calls is a delightful story filled with entertaining, endearing characters. Lorna Seilstad’s trademark is to embroider her novels with historical detail while providing a wonderfully satisfying read.”

Suzanne Woods Fisher, bestselling author of the Stoney Ridge Seasons series and host of weekly radio show Amish Wisdom

“Lorna Seilstad has a way of dropping her characters into interesting times, and she’s done it again in When Love Calls. Readers will like getting to know Hannah, the oldest Gregory sister, as she finds out that giving up one dream doesn’t mean doors won’t open up to new opportunities–and, even better, the chance to answer when love calls. With engaging characters and neat history, this new series about the Gregory sisters promises much reading entertainment.”

“Lorna Seilstad pulled me into the world she created around Lake Manawa with the lake breeze, the sailboats, and the leisure of summer days. But the love story and the characters were what made the book great. This needs to be everyone’s first choice
for a vacation read, or if you just want to open the pages of a book and be transported from
your recliner to the beach.”
